The forgiving streak
Your streak counts consecutive days you closed (or that you marked as rest). It’s there to motivate, but it’s built to bend, not snap.Momentum
Alongside the streak, Proofday shows a momentum score — a rolling measure of how consistently you’ve closed your days recently. Unlike a streak, momentum doesn’t crash to zero over a single miss. It dips a little and recovers as you keep showing up, so one off-day is a small dip on a curve rather than a catastrophe. It’s the honest picture of your consistency without the all-or-nothing anxiety. Two ways to stay whole
Redeem a missed day
Missed yesterday? Within a short grace window you can still close it. It’s marked as
backfilled — honesty matters — but it counts as a win and keeps your streak intact.
Rest days
Pre-declare a planned day off. A rest day protects your streak instead of breaking it, because
rest is part of the practice, not a failure of it.
None of this is about gaming a number. It matches how consistency actually works: mostly showing
up, occasionally not — and never letting one bad day become the reason you quit.
