Every meeting has one shared pool of documents. Anyone in the room — host or guest — can add to it, Kai reads all of it equally, and grounds its answers in it. The room works from the same facts, whoever brought them.

Add a document

In the meeting panel, open Docs and either:
  • Choose a file (or drop it on the Docs tab) — plain text (.txt) or Markdown (.md), or
  • Paste text and give it a name.
Press Add to shared docs. It’s ready for Kai within a few seconds and appears in everyone’s Docs list; the ones you added are marked yours. A meeting holds up to 50 documents of up to about 200,000 characters each.
Short, focused documents work best: an agenda, a brief, a proposal, the numbers you’ll be discussing. Give each a clear name — it’s what shows up in the citation chips.

How Kai uses them

When someone asks a question, Kai looks up the passages most relevant to it across the pool and combines them with the recent conversation. The answer cites the documents it used, and Kai says so when the documents don’t cover the question rather than inventing an answer.

Removing documents

The host can remove any document from the pool with the trash icon in the Docs list — useful if something was added by mistake.

Where they live

Documents belong to that meeting only — they’re never used for another meeting or to train any model — and they’re deleted when the host deletes the meeting.
