No. In this version a switch fires on inactivity only — your own missed check-ins. No recipient, trustee, or support agent can fire it early.
Encrypted content is zero-knowledge: if the passphrase is lost, that content can’t be recovered — not even by us. Keep it where you’d keep a will, and make sure your recipient will have it. Your account itself is always recoverable by email, independently.
No. When a switch fires they get a link that works in any browser. For encrypted items they enter the passphrase you shared; plain messages just arrive as email.
The free plan covers one switch with a message action and the full check-in loop. Pro ($19.99/year) adds multiple switches, encrypted files and secrets, a private recipient page, and SMS warnings. There’s no lifetime plan — a switch runs indefinitely, so the subscription keeps it running.
iOS, Android, and the web. The recipient release page is always web, so anyone can open what you left them without installing anything.
