# Your limits & markers

> Fix a wrong speed limit and drop your own markers — cameras, hazards and more — even in motion.

Map data is never perfect, and WhySoSlow is **yours to correct**. Your edits form a **personal
layer** that always takes priority over the underlying map, syncs across your phones, and survives
the next map refresh.

## Fix a wrong limit

If the limit shown is wrong for a stretch of road, override it: **select the stretch, set the
correct speed, confirm**. The controls are large and there's an **undo**, so it's safe to do even
while driving. Your override is stored by road geometry and name, so it stays put when the map data
updates.

## Drop your own markers

Add markers for what the data misses:

* **Cameras** — with a **bearing**, so they trigger a directional warning like the official ones.
  Add the enforced limit if you know it.
* **Hazards** — accidents, checkpoints, potholes, roadworks, or anything else.

**Permanent vs temporary** markers are shown with a different **outline colour**. There's no expiry
— you manage them yourself, so a temporary hazard stays until you clear it.

## Three ways to add something

Everything you add or edit lives on one **"My markers & limits"** screen, where you can review and
remove it. It all syncs to your account, so it's there on every device you sign in on.
