Tidybook is **buy-once** — no subscription trap. You pay a single price and use every on-device
feature forever. Cloud sync across your devices is an **optional** low-cost yearly add-on, but you
never need a subscription just to *use* the app.

## Why a plan for sync

The one-time purchase covers the app itself. The **Sync** plan covers the one part with an ongoing
cost — running the always-on, end-to-end-encrypted relay that keeps your book identical across your
devices. That's the honest split: buy the app once, and pay for the cloud only if you want it.
