# Transcript & summary

> A live, attributed transcript and a neutral group summary.

## Live transcript

While Kai is on, everything said in the meeting is transcribed and **attributed to the person
who said it** — in whatever languages people speak. The **Transcript** tab in the meeting panel
shows it live to everyone, so a late joiner can catch up and nobody has to take notes. The
transcript is captured only while Kai is on — turn Kai off and transcription stops.

After the call, the host finds the full transcript on the meeting's page.

## Neutral summary

On the meeting's page, the host picks a **summary style** — general meeting, team meeting, learning
session, or sales call — and presses **Generate summary**. Semble writes an impartial group summary
from the transcript, in the language the meeting was held in:

* **Key points** — what was discussed, attributed where it helps.
* **Decisions** and **agreements** reached.
* **Open questions** still on the table.
* **Action items** — who's doing what.

It summarizes the meeting as a whole — not "each side's position" — and a copy is emailed to the
host. You can regenerate it at any time.

  A summary needs a transcript, and a transcript exists only for meetings where Kai was turned on.
  Summaries are part of Kai's time, so generating one doesn't cost extra credits.

## Recap during the call

Don't want to wait until the end? In the Kai panel, **Recap so far** gives a neutral running
recap of the conversation up to now.
