# FAQ

  <Accordion title="Do guests need an account or an app?">
    No. Guests open the link in a browser, type a name, and join. Only the host signs in — with an
    email code, no password.

  <Accordion title="Is Semble free?">
    Meeting is free for up to 4 people and 40 minutes. Kai costs **3 credits per 15 minutes** it's
    on — and turning it on also lifts the free limits for that meeting. An optional audio recording
    costs **5 credits**. Only the host pays, from prepaid credits; new accounts get 12 free credits.

  <Accordion title="Can guests use Kai too?">
    Yes — once the host has turned Kai on, every guest can ask it by voice, by text, or with `@Kai`
    in the chat, add documents, and read the live transcript. Answers are shared with the whole room.

  <Accordion title="Someone joined who shouldn't be there. What can I do?">
    As the host, remove them from their tile and lock the meeting so the link stops working for new

  <Accordion title="Whose side is Kai on?">
    Nobody's. Kai is an equal participant, not the host's assistant: it answers anyone who
    addresses it, bases answers on the shared documents and the conversation, cites its sources,
    and summarizes the meeting as a whole.

  <Accordion title="Does Kai listen all the time?">
    Only while the host has it turned on. When Kai is off, nothing is transcribed and nothing
    goes to an AI provider. While it's on, it listens to keep the transcript but answers only
    when someone says its name.

  <Accordion title="Kai didn't answer me. Why?">
    Start with its name — "Kai, …" or "Hey Kai, …" — and check that Kai's tile says *Kai is
    listening*. If the host's credits ran out, Kai turns off on its own and the host needs to
    top up and turn it back on.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which languages does it understand?">
    The app is available in English and Russian. Kai understands speech in many languages — people
    can even switch languages mid-meeting — and answers in the language of the question. Summaries
    are written in the language the meeting was held in.

  <Accordion title="Which devices are supported?">
    Any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android. There's nothing to install.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I record video?">
    Recordings are audio-only: every participant, Kai included, mixed into one `.ogg` file.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is something wrong with the service?">
    The **Status** link at the bottom of the app checks the web app, the API, meetings, and the
    AI assistant live from your browser.
