Proofday keeps a journal of your days, so it's worth being clear about what's stored and why. ## What Proofday stores Your **entries** — the daily notes and optional moods — are saved on your device first, then synced to the server and tied to your account. That's what lets your journal follow you across devices, and what the AI proof layer reads to build your recaps and brag-doc. Because those features need to read your entries, Proofday is **not** end-to-end encrypted: your notes are readable on the server to sync them and generate your AI proof. They're your private journal, tied to your account — not shared, not sold, and not used to build an advertising profile. ## One account, no separate sign-up Proofday uses your single account across the Burakov apps — sign in once with an email code, no password to manage. The same account works on iOS, Android, and the web, and your journal follows you between them. ## What it needs, and what it doesn't Used only for the evening nudge to close your day. Decline them and the app still works — you just close the day when you open it. Pro is billed through the App Store, Google Play, or the web billing provider. Proofday never sees or stores your card details. Recaps, trends, and the brag-doc are generated on the server from your own entries, only when you ask for them. On the free plan, no AI runs. No advertising profile, no engagement scoring. Proofday is a journal, not a feed. You stay in control: edit or delete any day at any time, and you can delete your account, which removes your entries and reports.
