# Getting started

> Install Proofday, sign in, and close your first day.

Proofday works on iOS, Android, and the web — all from one account. You can be closing your
first day within a minute or two.

    Install Proofday from the App Store or Google Play, or open it on the web. Your data syncs
    across every device you sign in on.

  <Step title="Sign in with your email">
    There's no password. Enter your email, and Proofday sends you a one-time code. The same
    account works across every Burakov app — if you already have one, just sign in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick your reminder time">
    Choose when the evening nudge arrives and how insistent it is. Gentle is the default; you can
    change both any time in Settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Close your first day">
    On the Today screen, write a line about what you got done and tap to close the day. It turns
    **won** — and your streak starts at one.
