# FAQ

> Pricing, platforms, and the honest edges.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What does it cost?">
    The habit loop is **free forever** — the daily close, calendar, forgiving streak, momentum, and
    your recent history. **Pro** unlocks all AI (weekly and monthly recaps, trends, and the
    brag-doc) plus unlimited history: **$29.99/year**, or a **$59.99** one-time lifetime unlock. A
    **7-day trial** lets you try the full AI layer first.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What actually counts as a 'won' day?">
    Closing the day with a non-empty entry. That's it. Proofday never judges the length or quality
    of what you wrote — showing up and logging honestly is the whole win.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I missed a day. Did I lose my streak?">
    Not necessarily. You can **redeem** a missed day within a short grace window so it still counts,
    and your **momentum** score never crashes to zero over a single miss. You can also pre-declare
    **rest days** that protect the streak on purpose.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I have to set goals?">
    No. Proofday is **goal-free** — there are no objectives, OKRs, or tags to maintain. The AI
    infers your trends and themes from what you actually wrote.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does it work offline?">
    Yes. Proofday is offline-first: you can close a day with no connection, and it syncs across your
    devices the next time you're online.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Are my entries private?">
    Your journal is tied to your account and is never shared, sold, or used for ads. It isn't
    end-to-end encrypted, because syncing and the AI proof layer need to read your entries — see
    [Privacy](/proofday/privacy) for the full picture.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which platforms are supported?">
    iOS, Android, and the web — all from one account, with your journal synced between them. There's
    no desktop app.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if I never enable notifications?">
    The app still works fully — you just close the day whenever you open it. The evening nudge is a
    convenience, not a requirement.
