    Nothing. Fogline is a **personal project — free, with no subscriptions and no in-app
    purchases**. One burakov account works across all your devices.

  <Accordion title="Which platforms are supported?">
    **iOS and Android**, phones and tablets, from one account. It's **mobile-only** — there's no
    desktop or web version, because the whole idea depends on the phone you carry with you.

  <Accordion title="Does it track me in the background?">
    Yes — that's the point. Fogline records where you travel with the app closed and the screen off,
    so roads paint themselves without you doing anything. Your raw trail stays on the phone; only the
    roads you've painted back up.

  <Accordion title="Where does it work?">
    **Kyiv and the surrounding oblast** today, with **other regions as downloadable map packs**. Once
    a region is downloaded, painting and the map work fully offline.

  <Accordion title="Why does it need me to sign in?">
    So your painted map **backs up and follows you across devices**. Sign in on a new phone and your
    coverage is right there. The account is free.

  <Accordion title="Will it drain my battery?">
    Fogline samples your location **only as you move** and stays quiet when you're still, so it's
    tuned to sip battery in the background rather than run flat out. Longer trips naturally use more.

  <Accordion title="Does my location leave my phone?">
    No. Your **raw location trail never leaves the device** — it's used only to paint roads. The only
    thing that syncs is the plain list of roads you've painted, plus your coverage totals.

  <Accordion title="What counts as painting a road?">
    **One pass, in any direction, by any means** — driving, walking, cycling, or riding as a
    passenger. Roads are split into stretches of about **40 metres**; travel one and it's painted for
    good.

  <Accordion title="How accurate is it?">
    Your path is snapped to the **OpenStreetMap** road network, and GPS noise and standing still are
    filtered out, so your map follows real streets. Nothing is perfect — occasional GPS drift can
    miss or nudge a stretch.

  <Accordion title="Can I start over?">
    Yes. **Reset map** clears every painted road and sets your coverage back to zero, so your city
    starts fully fogged again. It's permanent.
