# Accounts & privacy

> One account across your devices, offline-first storage, and what stays on your device versus what syncs.

## One account, every device

You sign in once with a **passwordless email code** — no password to forget. The same account works
across every app in the burakov line, and it carries your Finity data across **phone, web and
desktop**.

## Offline-first

Everything you see lives in a **local database on your device** and works with **no connection**.
Sync happens quietly in the background: when you're online, your data reconciles to your account and
appears on your other devices; when you're offline, you keep working and it catches up later.

## What stays private

Your data starts on your device and syncs only to **your own account**. Signing out clears the local
data on that device. Notifications are handled locally by default; email reminders (Pro) are sent
from the server only for the countdowns you've asked to be reminded about.
