# Privacy

> Cronch has no account and no cloud. Your rules and run history live in a local database on your machine, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Cronch is built to be trustworthy with the one thing a scheduler needs: the ability to run commands on your machine. So it collects nothing and sends nothing.

## No account, no cloud, no telemetry

* There is **no sign-up** and no account — you just open the app.
* Cronch makes **no network calls of its own**. It doesn't phone home, check for anything, or report usage.
* There is **no analytics or telemetry**.

## Where your data lives

Everything Cronch knows — your rules, their settings, and the full run history with captured output — is stored in a single local **SQLite database** on your computer:

* **Windows** — under `%APPDATA%\burakov\Cronch`.
* **macOS** — under `~/Library/Application Support/net.burakov.Cronch`.

Nothing in there is copied off the machine. Exporting your rules writes a JSON file exactly where you choose, and importing reads one you point at — those are ordinary local files.

## What runs is up to you

Cronch runs the commands **you** create. If one of your jobs uploads a backup or calls an API, that job talks to the network — because you told it to. Cronch itself is just the thing that starts it on time and records the result.

<Note>
  Because Cronch collects no personal data and has no account, there's nothing to delete server-side and no data-deletion request to make — removing the app and its data folder removes everything.
